On Thursday, 26 September 2024, Dorin Panaitopol from THALES SIX GTS France, a key partner in the 6G-NTN Project, participated in the highly regarded European Microwave Week 2024 (EuMW 2024), held at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, France.
Dorin delivered an engaging presentation during the 6G Forum, where he shared insights on the evolving role of Non-Terrestrial Networks in 6G development.
Dorin’s presentation sparked a lot of interest from attendees, prompting several insightful questions on NTN implementation and key 5G to 6G transition challenges. These included topics such as Doppler compensation, satellite payload characteristics, transmission power and available energy, GNSS-free operation, and the preference between transparent and regenerative payload.
