SUMMARY:2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit
DESCRIPTION:From June 3 to 6\, 2024\, 6G-NTN partners will attend the European Conference on Networks and Communications (EuCNC 2024) in Antwerp\, Belgium. \n \n\nAbout EuCNC2024\nThe 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit builds on putting together two successful conferences in the area of telecommunications: EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications)\, supported by the European Commission\, and the 6G Summit\, originated from the 6G Flagship programme in Finland\, one of the very first in its area. The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society (ComSoc)\, the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and the European Association on Antennas and Propagation (EurAAP)\, and focuses on all aspects of telecommunications ranging from 5G deployment and mobile IoT to 6G exploration and future communications systems and networks\, including experimentation and testbeds\, and applications and services. It brings together cutting-edge research and world-renown industries and businesses\, globally attracting in the last years more than 900 delegates from more than 40 countries all over the world\, to present and discuss the latest results\, and an exhibition with more than 50 exhibitors\, for demonstrating the technology developed in the area\, namely within research projects from EU R&I programmes.

SUMMARY:one6G - Open Lecture 8 – Cell-free massive MIMO
DESCRIPTION:Following the success of the previous lectures\, the Association is happy to confirm that Open Lecture 8 will take place on June 20\, 2024\, at 14h00 CEST\, covering the subject of cell-free massive MIMO. \nCurrent wireless standards are evolving toward large-scale massive MIMO deployments. Cell-free massive MIMO (CF-MIMO\, also known as distributed MIMO) is a promising new architecture for future radio access. By moving away from the classical cellular design\, it avoids the problems of cell-edge interference and frequent handovers. This is especially important when transmission-reception points (TRP) and user equipments (UE) are densely distributed. A key feature differentiating cell-free MIMO from previous distributed MIMO architectures is the concept of user-centricity\, which means that each UE can be flexibly connected to individually formed clusters of TRPs. \nThe one6G Open Lecture 8 will feature three top-class speakers who will present and discuss important results\, new possibilities\, and open questions regarding the standardization and commercialization of this new technology. \nLearn more about the event here
