What is your organization’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
Martel plays a critical threefold role in the 6G-NTN project, encompassing Media, Lab, and PMO functions. In Media, communication and dissemination guide impact creation activities and ensure broad outreach and strategic positioning of the project within the overall SNS JU landscape by facilitating liaisons with major relevant initiatives Martel is involved in.
In its technical role, the Lab leads efforts in dynamic monitoring and orchestration, with emphasis on AI forecasting of traffic and resource occupation to support orchestration. We bring a unique combination of expertise in Cloud Native technologies, IoT, AI, orchestration, and Kubernetes to the project. This know-how enables us to develop advanced solutions that enhance the efficiency of network resource management. Our progress in these areas is crucial for empowering Europe to play a central role in the design, standardization, and deployment of 6G and NTN.
The Project Management Office (PMO) ensures all project activities are aligned with the objectives, schedules, and budget. The PMO also facilitates communication among stakeholders and manages risk to ensure successful project delivery.
Why is this project important for your organization?
Martel has a long-standing involvement in 5G-PPP and SNS-JU activities, allowing us to build a strong foundation in this field. This project enables us to enhance our technical participation, particularly by leveraging our skills in Cloud Edge IoT and AI.
Moreover, the project promotes the convergence between computing and networking continuums, which is a crucial area for future technological advancements. By actively engaging in this project, we are also preparing ourselves to assume further technical leadership roles in the future.
