UNIBO’s Alessandro Guidotti, proudly represented 6G-NTN at the 2nd International Summit on Sensors and Sensing Technology (ISSST), held on 14-16 October 2024 in Edinburgh, UK.
ISSST 2024 brought together leading experts from academia, industry, and government, creating a collaborative environment where innovative research meets real-world applications. The conference featured keynote addresses and technical sessions spanning a wide spectrum of topics including wireless sensor networks, 5G and 6G networks, deep learning and AI in sensing and imaging, among many others.
On the opening day, Alessandro delivered a keynote speech titled “The NTN (r)evolution,” shedding light on the transformative potential of Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). Healso chaired the session “5G and 6G Networks,” steering a discussion on the future of connectivity. The attendees’ keen interest in NTNs highlighted the growing curiosity about the technology’s potential, sparking promising opportunities for future collaborations.
